Auction Bidding Agreement Act 1969

(b) where goods of a buyer which has entered into an agreement with another or another, the other (or some of them) are not authorised to tender for the goods and the buyer or another party or one of the other parties is a trader within the meaning of the Auctions (Bidding Agreements) Act 1927 and 1969; the buyer guarantees that the goods are in good faith on a joint account. Payment must be made by direct bank transfer to our bank account. Our bank details will be provided on your invoice. No card payment is accepted unless it is a special prior agreement with the auctioneers. All transfers must indicate the corresponding invoice number. The amount we receive must be the total amount due after currency conversion and deduction of any bank charges (normally £7). A distinction must be made between, on the one hand, a genuine joint acquisition contract and, on the other hand, an illegal auction ring. .
